Orient Watch was formally established in 1950 in Tokyo Japan. The history of Orient Watch dates back to 1901, when the founder of Orient, Shogoro Yoshida, opened a wholesale watch store in Ueno, Japan.
Orient Watch focuses on mechanical watches, primarily automatic watches with its own in-house automatic watch movements. Orient Watch is one of Japan's big three watchmakers along with Seiko Watches
and Citizen Watches. Part of Seiko and Citizen's strategy was to actively pursue the U.S. market with agressive marketing strategies, especially with the technological advances
of quartz watch technology. Orient, however, focused their marketing on Europe, Russia, Far East markets, and South and Central Americas. As a large worldwide watch manufacturer, Orient offers warranty repair facilities
worldwide including the United States. Orient continues to be a strong player in Japan, competing with Citizen, Seiko, and Casio Watches.
Currently, Seiko continues to own a major part of Orient Watch Company and plays a major role in design and manufacturing. However, Orient Watch continues to make its own mechanical/automatic movements for themselves
and for other brands. This clearly shows Orient's commitment to high quality automatic watch movements. On Orient quartz models, such as
Orient Chronographs, they continue to use Seiko quartz movements. Orient's competitive advantage is the fact that Orient has always been focusing on making its automatic
mechanical movements better and more reliable. It's very difficult to find another watch company that sells high quality watch movements at affordable prices. Orient Watches are truly a unique product appreciated by
true watch collectors. Typical automatic watches with the same quality movements cost thousands of dollars, such as Omega, Rolex and Tag Heuer.
Orient Watch is not a typical household brand name in the US, unless you're a watch enthusiast. It can be difficult to locate Orient Watch dealers, however with the creation of the internet, finding Orient Watches has never
been easier. Watch Pavilion is proud to offer Orient watches with the best pricing and full manufacturer warranty. Many other internet retailers import their watches from foreign countries and cannot offer
warranty service to United States customers, unlike Watch Pavilion. We buy from several Orient dealers nationwide and guarantee complete satisfaction with an Orient Watch.
